Exam question h/s
Homework
Identify two pre-production documents that Andrew and Krishner could use to show Treat TV their initial ideas for the ‘Make Me a Baker’ title sequence. Compare the effectiveness of each in relation to the task and brief. 9pts
The brief is to make a new reality TV baking show. But the question above only refers to making the ‘title sequence’ for it.
Firstly Andrew and Krishner are producing a TV show so they could use a storyboard as this will help them plan ahead and give them a visual representation on what there aiming to produce and this can help them create scenes to construct there title sequences however a storyboard uses illustrations and if they are presented poorly this can cause there visual representation to be incomplete but the use of descriptive writing underneath each scenes slot this can resolve the problem of a storyboard which can help them with shots types , angles and duration and there production of the title sequence and capture the tv shows meaning as it’s a cooking show the title sequence needs to capture the beauty of food and the appeal to gain an audience .
Furthermore Andrew and krishner can use a mood board to help them produce there title sequence for there TV show a mood board can be use for as it’s a collage of picture that can give Andrew and krishner an idea of what they want to produce for example the colour the context and the title also the aim what are they trying to show , how are they trying to present food as it’s a baking show they would use colour to contextual present there title sequence however a mood board can cause problems as it can overload causing Andrew and krishner to be lost and it isn’t an organised piece for pre production but the use of taking and using ideas it’s beneficial for them as it can explore all there ideas and put them in a picture together bringing there ideas too life and helping them make a picture of how they will present there food and make it eye catching to there audience.
