Used to plan for still images or products can be a rough sketch or a detailed final design, normally has annotations explaining features that are not clear this element is key to visualisation diagram and you will always been awarded marks for your annotations must explicitly link back to the brief and the target audience  Why is a Visualisation diagram useful ?                          A visualisation diagram shows in a visual way what something might look like. It  can be used for still images and graphics projects such as poster design and CD/DVD covers  EXAMPLE

It’s made up of a series of thumbnail images that convey what happens in your video, from beginning to end . It also  includes notes about what’s happening in each frame a finished storyboard has a  similar look to a comic strip                                  EXAMPLE What is a script  A script is defined as the written words of a play movie, show or a standard message to deliver on a phone or in person .  What are Sitemaps Sitemaps is a list of pages of a web site within a domain . There are three primary kinds of sitemaps:         Sitemaps are used during  the planning of a web site by its designers . Human-visible listings , typically hierarchical , of the pages on a site. Structured listings intended for web crawlers such as search engines                                    EXAMPLE    Used during planning of websites by designers  Sitemaps that’s available for viewing online by those visiting a website   The home page is at the top  The lines in inbetween each one indicate the links between each tab  The function is to login/sign up  Tabs and sub-tabs  Disadvantages no design info structure could become complicated  Advantages info regarding on how different webpages link to return home  Three main types  1 those used during planning of a website by design  2 the Sitemap available for viewing online by those visiting a website  3 a structure (coded) list designed for search engines 

Story board and script conventions

  Shot description, number and duration - a short description of what will be in each shot. Each shot must have a number and how long it will last. This helps work out the final film duration. ▪ Visuals – Drawings of what will happen in each scene. These can be really detailed or simple line drawings. Sometimes photographs are added. The image should show how the shot should be framed and include any key props ( mise-en- scène). ▪ Technical Codes – what camera shots and angles will be used for each shot. Also a suggestion of what edit will take place between each shot. Arrows may also be used to show any movement of the camera such as zooms or pans. ▪ Audio Codes - Sounds that are to be included in the shot can be described.
